Friends of Maleny Library

At the heart of Friends of Maleny Library is a group of enthusiastic supporters who promote the library service, advocate on its behalf and work to strengthen the library’s links with the local community.

Friends of Maleny Library (FOML)

• assist staff with children’s activities such as school holiday programs, Kid’s Nite In and the annual Gary Crew Readers’ Cup
• support and sponsor Literary Events such as Writing Workshops and Author Talks
• administer funds raised from the on-going Book Sales
• liaise with other Friends of Library Groups at regular networking meetings

­­­­Participation in this group is encouraged through flexible membership, as it

• acknowledges members are busy and values their time
• utilizes skills on projects or activities that are of interest to the individual
• allows contribution to a project or activity from home or when convenient throughout the year
• values all offers of hands-on support for events, activities and functions in the library
• celebrates and executes great ideas with the support of passionate members

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 9.00am at Maleny Library, if you are unable to attend FOML will keep you informed via regular correspondence.
